Tronix is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (Scala) to join our team and contribute to a focused backend initiative for a complex, high-load platform. You will work hands-on with Scala in existing architectures, delivering reliable, maintainable services that align with current technical direction and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain backend services using Scala and established team patterns
- Work within an existing architecture, aligning solutions with the current technical direction
- Translate business requirements into clear, robust technical implementations
- Contribute to the stability and maintainability of the platform through thoughtful testing and documentation
- Participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, and delivery-focused technical discussions
- Collaborate closely with engineers and product stakeholders to refine scope, priorities, and implementation details
- Ensure clean integration of new services with the broader platform ecosystem
Requirements:
- Around 5 years of experience as a Backend Engineer, with strong focus on Scala
- Solid understanding of functional and object-oriented programming patterns
- Experience building and maintaining distributed systems, microservices, or serverless architectures
- Comfortable working within existing architectures rather than redesigning from scratch
- Detail-oriented approach to development, documentation, and quality
- Strong skills in translating business needs into technical solutions
- Fluent English and ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams
