Job description
Tronix is looking for an experienced Golang Engineer (Cloud / Platform) to help build a secure, privacy-focused IaaS/PaaS public cloud within the EU for a global retail & IT ecosystem. You will work on modern infrastructure services (compute, databases, security, Data & AI, observability) and play a key role in designing and delivering scalable, reliable microservice-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Golang-based microservices for a large-scale cloud platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional European teams to define requirements, design solutions, and deliver new features
- Optimize existing services for performance, reliability, and security
- Run and improve Kubernetes-based environments for stable, service-oriented delivery
- Explore, evaluate, and introduce new tools and technologies to improve development efficiency (e.g., IaC/CaC, operators)
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and, when needed, onsite workshops with the client
- Investigate and resolve performance, stability, and security issues
- Contribute to test automation and quality assurance practices
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering
- 3+ years of hands-on development in Golang
- Strong experience building and operating microservices in production
- Practical experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads (Docker)
- Good understanding of distributed systems, scalable architectures, and observability
- Confident in writing, testing, integrating, and debugging production code
- Solid understanding of security concepts and the ability to apply them throughout the SDLC
- Proficiency with Linux, scripting, and configuration of development environments
- Interest in Infrastructure-as-Code / Configuration-as-Code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes operators)
- Self-driven, disciplined, and strong in problem-solving
- Team player comfortable in a dynamic, remote-friendly Agile environment
- Nice to have: experience with cloud databases, data platforms, or private clouds
